Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is a dynamic and forward looking organisation seeking expressions of interest from substantive and competent Firefighters, Crew Commanders, Watch Commanders, Station Commanders and Fire Control Operators who are interested in transfer opportunities to equivalent roles in Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service.
This opportunity is open to personnel wishing to transfer as fully competent firefighters and fire control operators from:
- Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue OC duty system wishing to transfer to Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue WDS Duty System
- Local Authority Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) WDS
- Local Authority OC FRS wishing to transfer to HFRS OC Duty System
- Ministry of Defence FRS
- UK fire control organisations, including those that fall under a local authority FRS.

Driving Roles: As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC Sites/Residences either using your own mode of transport or a company car. In light of this, the ability to drive and/or travel around the County is required for this role a DVLA check will be required on appointment.

English Fluency: The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post (for those whose language is a signed language the provision of a sign language interpreter who speaks English to the necessary standard of fluency will be required).
